Blue Monday

I am lonely. I still miss Philadelphia. I miss my friends. I feel like crying today.

Hi,
Sometimes I just like to indulge my misery with chocolate icecream and a girly movie. Try Kate and Leopold or something like that - im not promising intelligent story lines or anything - just pure escapism and often, when I come back to reality, its not so bad.

Or give one of your girl friends a call!

I've lived in four places in the last 6 years: N of Philly, Singapore, Japan and now VA.
Moving is so so hard.
I feel like crying many days too.
We lived N of Quakertown for 13 years and I miss my home and gardens and work and friends.
My husband worked in Lansdale and he is from PA.
It's just so hard sometimes.

I too can offer cyber hugs and virtual chocolate. I hope you will feel better soon.
Do you use the verb "to pine for something", as in wanting it badly (usually a person or thing you are missing). Just though I'd ask as I am about to type "piness" into the word verification thing.

Thanks so much everyone, it's so nice to hear from you.
Bearette, we are in fact going back to Philadelphia for a party on 11/15. When will you be there?

Pherenlike, good advice! Escapism is what I need.

Mim, my best friend lives in Lansdale! And I know Quakertown well... it's a nice area.

Pierre, yes I like the term "pining for something"...it
sounds rather old-fashioned and romantic.

It looks like we'll be there 11/22, but if it changes, I'll let you know. It's going to be at Fairmount Park.
