I love this time of year, when it finally starts to cool off. It's in the 50s here this morning. When it's 90 degrees and humid I hate the sun and avoid it. On days like this, though, I like it again. Here is a shadow on my bedroom wall this morning.

Beautiful photograph. Hey, maybe you and your husband would like to have a summer place in Nova Scotia, maybe an old brick charming fixer upper on a quiet street and with a huge yard and garden and a view of the harbour. I thought of you the other evening as I sat in my second floor studio painting greeting card designs and watching a big ship coming into our little harbour. This room could be your sewing room. You could come here each year, with all the other summer folk from May to November and be back in warm Kentucky for American Thanksgiving. Wink. Think about it. xo, S.
Hi Susan, Having a summer home where it's cooler sounds ideal to me. I would love to have one in Nova Scotia... my husband had his heart set on a lake cottage in Michigan but I think Nova Scotia sounds much nicer.
I have a friend who used to live in Nova Scotia years ago, and he speaks very highly of it.
I have no doubt that you would fall madly in love with Nova Scotia and this little sea side village is a gem. I am very lucky to have lived here for the past 15 years but I do need a much, much smaller house and garden. So I can have lots of time to just keep on with this "flow" business. Wink. xo, S.
September is one of my favorite months, too.
