Recuperating

I'm recuperating from a kidney infection.  I went to the doctor and was given an antibiotic injection, and am now on oral antibiotics.  They must be working, I feel a lot better now.  My husband went to visit his family for a couple of days, so I am at home with my four cats.  It's quiet and relaxing around here.  I have the fireplace and all my pillows. My next door neighbors have told me they would help if I need anything.  So, I am fine.

Because my husband was laid off from his job, we have to make other arrangements for health insurance.  He is signing up for COBRA until he turns 65 and becomes eligible for Medicare.  Suddenly, the debate over Medicare in Washington has hit home for us.  It's confusing, with all the supplement plans and prescription plans from which to choose.  We are in the first wave of "baby boomers".  It's a whole new world for us!

So sorry that you have not been well Judy and that you are now recuperating well and keeping cosy and warm.
I'm sure your husband will bring you all the family news - I have to really draw it out of my husband as his response to my "what's everyone been up to?" is either 'nothing much' or 'can't remember'. Hope you have better luck, and please get well soon for the coming New Year!

Thank you for your well wishes, Pam. I'm having a nice quiet break, with the house all to myself (except for the cats, of course). My husband is the same way. I learn more news when I listen to him speaking to someone else over the phone! My best to you and your family for the New Year.

Other than (presumably) not being able to have a drink while on the antibiotis, have a lovely rest. I love having the house to myself and the cat!

Yes, it's very relaxing to have no company but the cats while recuperating.
