My Neighborhood

Good morning! Well, I am feeling better today. It's clear and cool outside. I am going to take myself for a walk. This is where I will go. There is a horse farm next door to our neighborhood. Isn't it a nice sight?

When we moved here three years ago, we could hear cows from a farm down the road. Since then, they have built more houses on that land. We live in an area that is being quickly developed. When we finally retire, I would like to find a place free from development. Do you think such a place still exists?

I'm thinking of a village where development was finished long ago, where it's quiet and there are big, old trees. Where you can walk to little shops and cafes. I know there must still be places like that. I wish someone would tell me where they are.

Susan, I though of you when I wrote that. Your little village sounds wonderful.
One minute I miss the city and the next minute I crave peace and quiet. I guess I need the peaceful, quiet place with a train to take me to the city when the mood strikes.
I am mulling over what you said about becoming my own "Randee". I just need Ms. Invincible whispering encouragement in my ear every day.

We can try to be our own "Randee's" together. It's a great goal. Your happiness book is a good start. Here's another book to check out at your library. Transitions: Making Sense Of Life's Changes by William Bridges it might help you to rethink the transition from Philadelphia to now. Have a great weekend. xo S.
