Transformative

I was so proud of our President this morning as I listened to his speech in Cairo. Our President who is intelligent and articulate. Our President who is reaching out to the world to promote understanding. The media is calling his speech "transformative". I know I felt transformed as I listened. I felt hope and pride. I felt optimistic about the future. I realize it was just one speech, and that there are still many dangers and difficulties in the world. But it is nice to know he is representing us.

Absolutely, Judy! Transformative is the prefect word.

I know I taught a fair number of Muslim students in Ottawa (70 % of my classroom in some schools!) and they would be applauding, too.

I hearken back to those wise words -
being judged not by the colour of our skin, but by the content of our character. This includes our faith, our cultural traditions, our gender, and sexual orientation.

Very nice to read this from up here in Canada.

He is certainly representing you very well -- a good choice.

I remember that you did. And we foreigners were very pleased with your choice.
