This morning I watched the press conference in which President-elect Obama presented his National Security team. As I listened to each of them speak, I reacted with tears. Why?
Sadness and frustration. Fear that the hope I dare to feel will be dashed. I am sad and frustrated when I look back on the past eight years. We are making a new start, and i dare to hope that things will get better.

it's amazing isn't it. And up here in Canada (where it's been pretty conservatively b-o-r-i-n-g for awhile now) there's a bit of a political coo a brewin'. Where the three minority opposition parties (the good left-ish guys) are threatening to throe over the conservative minority (bad guys) government. edge of you seat stuff for Canada.
You know just for interest's sake thankfully God and/or religion never, ever comes up in Canadian politics - amen to that.
