Strange Weather

Two days ago, our schools were closing because of a snow and ice storm. Today it's 67 degrees, balmy and breezy. By this weekend we are expecting "bone chilling cold". We are getting a little bit of everything here in Kentucky. At least we aren't getting the winter storms that are affecting Chicago and the East Coast (yet!).

This afternoon, it was warm enough to open some windows. I took this photo of my three kitties... they are gathered at the open door to sniff the outdoors. As soon as they hear a door or window open they come running.

It may be spring-like out there today, but it sure looks like winter. Look at my back yard view... just bare trees. That's what I don't like about winter... lack of color.

On the other hand, that's what I love about Hawaii... color everywhere you look!

...not to mention the outdoor showers!

Those kitties need some indoor mouses... I would love to indulge them!
As for posting those Hawaii pictures, well that's just torture. But if it helps to look at color, maybe you'd better hang up a lot of prints!

Aloha!

Glad that I'm not the only woman with 3 cats!
We've got fake mice, fake fur 'snakes' with feathers on the end, paper bags, empty boxes and the cats love to jump in and out and chase each other. The best is the box that has several scrunched up pieces of newsprint. Great spot to snuggle and jump out at other cats from.
I remember 67 degrees. It was -20 C. this morning. By -20 degrees F. & C. are about even!

Natalie, I know, I torture myself too much with pictures of Hawaii. I just want to keep reminding myself that it really is there!

Jennifer, I think there are quite a few of us with at least three cats! The more the merrier, right?
