Kitty Yoga

This is Munchkin.  She and her littermates were born under our next door neighbor's porch, and we adopted her.  She was friendly to us from day one.  She has a playful, happy personality and loves to have her belly rubbed.  Yesterday I found out she likes to do yoga too.

I was doing yoga and Munchkin decided to join me.  When I do a bridge pose or a downward dog pose, she walks back and forth under the arch I make, meowing the whole time.  Then she joins me during the stretching part. These are the photos I took while she was stretching:

Namaste.

She looks like a sweet girl - love the stretches! My Max likes to stretch and roll on the braided rugs, then turns in a circular pattern rolling the rug over him - a cat cigar! He really gets into it if you make a fuss and baby talk to him while he performs. Love those kitties!
Have a lovely week, Judy

Your Max sounds like fun, Mary. I've never seen a cat wrap itself up in a rug!

Bearette, it seems yoga is contagious!

Cats are such great company!
Like the first comment, if you make a fuss and baby talk to our cat, she pulls herself along the whole length of the room, stretched out on her side, using only her front claws to gain the distance on the carpet- she won't do it if you don't use the silly voice. You know the performace is over when there's a quick couple of rolls to the left and right - then its all back to normal - my voice too thankfully!
Cats are wonderful.
Love your story and pics!

Thank you, Pam! They are great company, and each one has its own personality. Some people think cats are not responsive to humans... you just have to know how to speak to them!
