Enjoyed this so much, but did a gasp about the bear cub bit. Who WOULD shoot a bear cub?? - plenty I guess - I just hate to think. Our kangaroo shooters here have no compunctions about shooting the joeys, but occasionally one will be bought home for the shooter's children to play with, as a pet. Guess you don't do that with a bear cub Judy! Thanks for sharing the interesting pics. (...also I appreciate your recent commiserations re my health).

I've always liked the story about the teddy bear. My dad's nickname was "Teddy".
