July
July is when summer gets started for real. It's hot. Everything is blooming like crazy. The pools are open. July has always been a lot of fun for me. Picnics, vacations, riding bikes, bonfires at night, going barefoot, going swimming.
I was born in July, on my father's birthday. Three of us in the family were born on the same day... my dad, myself, and a great aunt. My sister was born one day before, and one of my nieces a week later. We have two birthdays in June, four in July, and two in August. When I was a child I thought summer was the "birthday season", that all birthdays were in the summer. We always had a picnic to celebrate all the birthdays in July. Fried chicken, potato salad, watermelon, and lemonade. Just a few days before, there were fireworks on the 4th. Those are all the things I associate with the month of July. Summer fun and celebration!

We are moonchildren!
I'm guessing your birthday is around the 7th Judy? What a bright and sunny month for you...we are shivering in the depths of winter here in the Southern Hemisphere!
Hi Pam, it's on the 10th! I was thinking of you yesterday; how our climates are on opposite sides of the world, how I associate July with heat and you associate it with cold. I would like to visit your part of the world some day. I'm sorry that you are shivering in the cold. It wasn't that long ago that we were doing the same.
