It's already 10:30 in the morning on Labor Day. My husband is off playing golf. I should be well into my daily four hours of decluttering. The back of my car is full of stuff I have packed up for Goodwill. (Are they open on Labor Day? Maybe not.) Anyway, my day has been derailed. I picked up this book and began reading it, and now I can't put it down. It was published in 2007 but I have just discovered it. As I said, I can't put it down. It is riveting.
**Update: Okay, now I've managed to put the book down for a while and have managed to do two hours of decluttering!

Oh, I was tempted to read that book...is the Holocaust theme very depressing, though?
There is sadness in it, but I think it's well-balanced by the very caring woman that is the main character and narrator of the story.
