Long Day


Today is going to be a long one for me... because I'm not allowed to eat any solid food.  I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow.  The only things I am allowed to eat today are:
And it can't even be chocolate! 


And it can't be red!


It's going to be a long day.  I'm hungry already!

    Good luck tomorrow - and the rest of today! It's not the food restrictions that bother me as much as the oh so lovely prep solution that comes later in the day. Just had mine - on a three year recall - this summer. So happy the dr.upped me to a five year re-check.
    You'll be fine, and then you can have a nice breakfast! Hope your test is early so you can get it over with.

    It is early, Mary. Thank goodness. I'm taking the prep right now. I went to the store and bought food to look forward to when it's over.

    How joyful for you! I've had one. I can empathise. Hubby had an exam of his stomach in summer. THAT was on the same level of... angst. He's likely having prostectomy this winter, so it's all in your frame of mind!

    Thinking of you today. These (rather horrid) procedures seem more routine in North America than here, I think? Good luck, and let's hope for good results.

    Been there, done that. You shouldn't be aware of it at all. The prep is worse than the procedure in that respect.

    Hi Pam, Rachel and Artist, I am back at home after the procedure. It wasn't bad at all. They sedated me and I had some weird dreams. I came to and it was all over. Now I'm having some ice cream!
