Since Sunday I have been in the hospital. At 3:00 Sunday morning I awakened my husband and asked him to call 911. The ambulance took me to the ER.
I had pain in my abdomen like a kidney stone pain but much more widespread. It was an 8 out of 10, I estimated. They did CT scan and diagnosed as diverticulitis. They treated me with pain medication and two antibiotics. My temp was like a roller coaster, one time 99 and the next 102. Them they diagnosed bacteria in my blood. Finally on Wednesday they let me go, with medicine to take orally.
This is the short version. I am glad to be out!
Goodness, Judy.
ReplyDeleteWell... welcome home, then.
I am so sorry about the rest, though.
You poor dear. I hope you are feeling
better, and better. ((hugs))
Oh you poor thing. Have they said what comes next - treatment or will just a more careful diet sort it out?
ReplyDeleteMostly just hope it doesn't happen again! I have Sjögren's syndrome, which weakens my immune system so I will do everything I can to strengthen it, diet, etc.
DeleteScary! Glad that you're back home. Try to get lots of rest.
ReplyDeleteHope you are completely well very soon!
Mary
Thank you all for the good wishes. I am on bed rest, taking antibiotics and pain medicine. Feeling better every day.
ReplyDeleteGreat that you're fine again! Health is so important!
ReplyDeleteThat must have been agonizing! Glad your painful ordeal is over and that you are recovering and starting to feel better. Have a restful weekend as those meds work their wonders.
ReplyDeleteYes, it feels so good to be recovering!
