If I Disappear...

Blogger is confusing me.  A whole new template appeared about a week ago.  I thought I had adapted to it, but a new problem arose this morning.

It's complicated.  When I first set up my blog some years ago, I had an email account with aol.  I used that to set up my blog.  Then something happened to my aol account; I have no idea what it was, I just couldn't access it anymore.  But my blog remained.  So, when I signed on to my blog I used my aol address and a password.  I set up a new email account with gmail but didn't change my blog to gmail.  In order to access my blog I had to go to aol and to access email I had to go to gmail.  Every time I wanted to go from one to the other I had to go to a separate Google account.

It got confusing so I stopped using my gmail account and switched my email to yahoo, which is separate from Google altogether.

That worked for quite a while.  This morning something must have changed because I couldn't get to my blog and I couldn't switch to my other Google account.  Blogger kept taking me directly to my gmail account and there was no blog there.  So, a few minutes ago, I managed to get back to my blog by typing in my old aol account name.  I just hope it keeps working.  In case I get lost and can't find my blog again, I just want you to know I haven't gone away on purpose.  If that happens (which I hope it doesn't) I guess I will try to set up another blog, but I wouldn't know how to direct you to it.

If anyone can shed any light on this, I would really appreciate it.  Google help and Blogger help just don't seem to understand me.  Or maybe I just don't understand them.  Let's hopeI just stay right here!

  2. See, there I go again. I got a double comment. Maybe my laptop is just haunted today or something! It seems I go on just fine for a period of time, then suddenly somewhere everything changes and nothing works the same anymore. Ugh!
