Grumpy Old Lady
Today I am driving up to Cincinnati to visit the Genius Bar at the nearest Apple Store. All of a sudden I can't view any videos on my MacBook. Where a video should be, I get a message that says: "Blocked plug-in". I have researched this problem on the internet. It advises me to click on the "Blocked plug-in" message and I will be directed to a screen like the one above, which advises me to download Adobe Flash Player. I have clicked on "Download Now" about a dozen times, but nothing happens.
Further research has led me to some computer whiz kids who tell me I have to uninstell my old version of Adobe before I can download the new version. Trouble is, I have NO idea how to uninstall it. I have found the Adobe icon in my "system preferences" and tried to drag it to the Trash but that doesn't work. In fact, it froze my computer and I had to reboot.
So, okay... now I am stumped. The only answer for me is to get in my car, fight traffic on the interstate, cross the bridge into another state and go to the Apple store. It will probably be packed with bright-eyed youths trying to get their hands on the new iPhone 5. But I have an appointment at the Genius Bar, so I hope they will lead me right to someone who can help an old lady like me. It's not easy using Apple when you weren't born in this century!
I agree Judy, but you are way ahead of me with some of these things. Good luck with it all.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pam. The guys at the Apple store were very nice and helpful and I got all my questions answered.
