Mid-Winter Quiet

Not much is happening around here... not much to write about. We had a nice Valentine's Day. Went out to dinner Saturday with my sister and brother-in-law at our new favorite place... Otto's in Covington, KY:

My iphone died again... third time in the last two months! This causes me non-stop frustration. I hear from everyone I know how much they LOVE their iphone, but I have to wonder. There are numerous sites on the web, explaining how to restore a frozen iphone, so there must be plenty of others having problems!

So now I have an appointment tomorrow to go to the Genius Bar at the Apple store. I don't know if they can help; they replaced all the software about a month ago and it still conked out! I haven't decided what to do: maybe I should get a whole different kind of phone. I loved the iphone when it worked, but it's not very reliable if you ask me!

  1. D has tons of problems with his iphone too. He's always replacing it. I have a blackberry, no problems...

  3. Gee... Geoff got me a droid, and it makes me nuts. Now he says he will get me an iPhone... but is that a bad idea?!
I kinda wish we could stick to dimes and phone booths! Remember those?!

  4. Yes I do, Natalie... I often miss the good old days. Things were much simpler then!
I have a feeling if you have tech-savvy people at your house they might be able to help you with the iphone. (If they are familiar with Macs, that is.) They keep changing the operating systems and the software, and I think that is part of the problem.
    Good Luck!

  5. p.s. Natalie, whenever I take it to the Apple store they ask me "have you updated both your laptop and your phone to the latest operating system?" and I say "I didn't know there was a new one!" I don't think they understand us old-fashioned folk.

  6. My friend has endless trouble with her Blackberry.... Sorry. I think we need to be under-25s for this sort of stuff, really!
