The day before Easter... tomorrow I expect at least eighteen people to come through that door. We will have an Easter egg hunt and Easter baskets for the children, then we will all sit down to dinner.
The photo shows the state of my preparedness. I have gathered all my chairs together, to decide which ones to use at which table. The hall table on the left has Easter decorations on it. It's covered up by a tablecloth so my cats can't jump up on the table and play with it (or leave hairballs on it).
I have six Easter baskets filled for six little children. The Easter bunny came and hid eggs all over the downstairs area. Tomorrow morning I will have all the chairs in place and all the decorations uncovered. I will try to take some photos before it gets too crazy.
In the meantime... Happy Easter and Chag Sameach!
It sounds like loads of fun. I love the colour of your walls. Have a great & tres Happy Easter Judy. Take lots of photos ... and a menu description s'il vous plait. xo S & les Gang
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan. I wish you and les Gang a happy Easter too. Nice that it coincides with you favorite day... Sunday.
ReplyDeleteMy menu: beef brisket, slowly cooked for hours and hours, turkey breast that is marinating in lemon juice, herbs, white wine and buckwheat honey... oops, I forgot garlic... better go throw that in! Also, sweet potato casserole, spinach with mushrooms, onions, pine nuts and parmesan, and a salad with goat cheese and almonds, and my mom's famous Easter egg cake. And a variety of ice creams. Everyone likes a different flavor, so we just set them all out and everyone chooses one.
Thanks for complimenting my walls. They were that color when we moved in. At first I wasn't used to it, I thought maybe it was too dark... but now I really like it. Just have to use enough white to set it off.
Oy! Good luck, Judy. 18 guests are a lot. My mom is busy putting together Easter eggs, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Bearette, have a fun Easter with little E... hope you will have some photos.
ReplyDeleteI was totally lazy and didn't take any photos. The Easter egg hunt was kind of a wash - I think the kids were too old! And E was too young. Still, he enjoyed hanging out with his cousins :) I hope your Easter was fun as well.
ReplyDeleteBut fortunately my sister took some pics...one of them is now my profile picture!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like that picture. He has such a happy smile!
