I went out and voted this morning. Now I am holding my breath, hoping we have a clean, clear, straightforward result.
All the pundits will be on the air tonight, commenting on the results. Guess who will be appearing on our local news as commentator? Jerry Springer! Did you know he once was the mayor of Cincinnati? Yes, he was.
That's funny ;) (Jerry Springer)
ReplyDeleteWell, I checked intrade.com, and they still have Obama listed as ahead. Way ahead. And I did my part to contribute to my state's 31, blue electoral votes :)
I did my part, adding one blue vote in a sea of red here in Kentucky.
ReplyDeletehi Judy, I'm busy at the teak topped desk ... just finished watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on my computer available here ctv.ca along with Stephen Colbert and now I'm listening to live streaming of CNN (and much election chit chat, predictions etc...) while I work.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Americans have any idea how much the rest of the world cares about this election. My entire opinion of the US of A will change dramatically if Obama lands this ... and I SO welcome that change of opinion.
fingers crossed. xo S.
Susan, I do have a sense that many people in the rest of the world are hoping for a change for the USA. I am hoping right along with them. I think it would be a positive step toward better relations between us and the rest of the world. I think we need it.
ReplyDeleteSo what things did you vote on? I am curious about the process. I know that some states vote on more things, like referendum questions.
ReplyDeleteInteresting process from here in Canada!
Hi Jenny Jill,
ReplyDeleteIn my area, the only issue we had to vote on was whether or not to pass a tax increase for county parks. In Ohio they had to vote on whether or not to allow a casino to be built. And in California, they are voting on whether or not to ban same sex marriage. Those are the only ones I know about.
