It's about five miles from us, so I guess that's enough distance. <br /><br />When I was growing up, though, we lived near an Air Force base. In those days, they were flying B-52s, which were huge and very noisy. We lived near an airport fo...Lovely pictures Judy. <br />We lived near an airport for a while. One day there was the most unbearable noise - the windows shook, dogs howled, - I put my fingers in my ears.<br />I rang up the airport to find out why such a shocking noise should be inflicted on the public, to find out that it was the Prime Minister's plane.<br />Probably more interesting and peaceful in the days when the king passed through the village with his horse-drawn carriage!<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
